The Salsa Society runs regular salsa lessons at all levels on Mondays. Classes take place at Somerville, and are an excellent way to learn to dance, meet new people, and get away from all those essay deadlines! If you thought that classes were all it did, check out the Oxford University Salsa Team and prepare to be amazed! The team performs at balls, charity shows, nightclubs and all kinds of events throughout Oxford.

The Society offers its members a great social network of people connected to or interested in Scandinavia in one way or another. Slovenian Society, Oxford University
The Society was established in February 2006 with the following being some of its aims: to promote Slovene culture and spread awareness of the country of Slovenia amongst both the members of the University as well as the general public; to organise social and cultural events, such as concerts with music by Slovene composers, evenings with Slovene literates, debates and occasional drinks for all its members; to become the focus of social life for students from Slovenia, where experiences regarding university life and what follows graduation, particularly on returning home, can be shared.
