Student Advisor (Part Time)

Salary: £23,692 - £28,289 pro rata.

Deadline: Monday 12th May, 12 noon.

OUSU is looking to recruit a part time Student Advisor to work with the OUSU Student Advice Service to provide support and advice to students.

The Student Advisor will be expected to work closely with OUSU’s officers in providing information and advice to students on issues such as finance, accommodation & academic concerns. Among other responsibilities, they will be responsible for maintaining information resources, overseeing the administration of the advice service, and assisting with the writing of welfare publications

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well both as part of a team and on their own initiative. They will have the ability to listen and communicate effectively with a range of students, and will have a sensitive and non-judgmental approach to service users. They should have sound administrative skills. The successful candidate should have a year’s experience in advice work, preferably in the last 3 years, and should be able to demonstrate evidence of relevant training, such as CAB training.
