Campaigns

An explanation of what OUSU Campaigns and Committees are and links to them all

OUSU Campaigns are issues and organizations that OUSU Council has chosen to support and promote. These fall under two categories: autonomous and non-autonomous.

 

Autonomous Campaigns

There are six autonomous campaigns.

Each campaign has its own constitution, is financially supported by OUSU, can make and implement its own policy and has a vote at OUSU Council. The campaigns exist to ensure that there is always a space in the OUSU democratic structure where student's concerned about issues relevant to these campaigns have a safe and supportive environment in which to discuss these issues. The policy these campaigns pass is often brought to OUSU Council so that OUSU Council can decide whether to make them OUSU Council policy as well.
