AEGEE (European Students Forum) is one of the biggest interdisciplinary student associations in Europe; it is represented by 15,000 students, active in 241 academic cities, in 40 countries all around Europe. AEGEE is a secular, non-profit organisation, not linked to any political party. All projects and activities are based on the voluntary work of its members.

Arab Cultural Society, Oxford University
The OUACS serves many different roles on campus. Firstly, it acts as a meeting point and contact hub for all Arab students on Campus. It aims to represent them and offer them maximum support. It also aims to present a platform for voices and speakers from, or interested in, the Arab world, with the topics of discussions covering politics, history, the arts, and culture. It also organizes parties and social events, so wherever your interests may lie, OUACS has something to offer.

Asia-Pacific Society, Oxford University
The Oxford University Asia-Pacific Society (OUAPS) was formed in 1999 and is the largest Asian society in Oxford, with over 700 members. Its affiliates and networks span four continents. The society aims to encourage and promote an understanding of current issues related to the Asia-Pacific, and to inspire interest in the political, economic, social and cultural developments in this dynamic region of the world.

OXCIA is a vibrant, inclusive and truly international society that aims to promote an interest in Chinese culture within Oxford University. Anyone with any interest in Chinese culture is encouraged to come to its events – it exists to foster this interest, as well as to give advice and answer questions. OXCIA regularly organizes speaker events, museum visits and free Mandarin lessons as an integral part of promoting cultural awareness. In addition, it also holds Orient-themed parties, food-related events, film nights, festival celebrations, and trips to China.

Gumboots Dance Troupe, Oxford

Gumboot dancing originated in the gold mines of South Africa. The mines were often flooded, so to protect their feet, mine workers wore gumboots (i.e., rubber mining boots). At the end of their shift, these mine workers, who came from all over southern Africa, would entertain themselves by slapping their boots and combining it with their traditional dances. And so gumboot dancing was born!

Oxford Jsoc is not just a religious society; its aims and likewise its events are varied in their nature. JSoc organises social, educational as well as religious events for students of all shades of observance - ranging from those who go to shul three times a day to three times a year. With prestigious speakers, cocktail parties, bagel brunches and of course Friday night meals, Jsoc provides a unique opportunity to mix with other Jewish students. It also provides meals every night of the week at the OJC (Oxford Jewish Community Centre) so eating kosher food in Oxford should never be an issue.

The Oxford University Korea Society was founded in 1986 by a number of enthusiastic and pioneering students at the time, seeking to encourage lively communication and relations among the Korean population in Oxford. Its aim was also to promote Korea as a nation of both transition and tradition worldwide. Since then, the Society has expanded its capacity with an ever-increasing number of students, visiting professors and researchers alike, and has hitherto firmly established itself as a representative body of Korean residents in Oxford.
