Mixed Doubles Debating Competition
Sunday 8th Week, 10am - 6pm, Venues TBC.

On Sunday of 8th Week OUSU and the Union are hosting a joint 'mixed doubles' debating competition which will last all day. Teams must consist of a man and a woman and one of the partners must be a novice. To register for this competition please email your name, college and any debating experience to mixeddoublesreg@gmail.com - you can apply in teams, or as an individual and you will be given a partner to match your experience. Registration closes Sunday of 7th Week.

To encourage more women to get involved James Dray (World Debating Championships Finalist) and Katherine Wall (Women's Officer on the OUSU part-time exec) will be running three women-only training sessions in the OUSU building (Bonn Square), beginning next Monday (5th Week) at 7.30pm. If you have no experience, or if you want to improve your skill come along next Monday.

Session One - Monday 5th Week - An Introduction to British Parliamentary Debating
Session Two - Tuesday 6th Week - Constructing an argument in debate
Session Three - Monday 7th Week - Confidence in Public Speaking
