3pm, Gooodhart Seminar Room, University College.

Council Notes:

1.    That Council called for an Extraordinary Council meeting in 1st Week of Michaelmas Term to discuss the options to go forward to the indicative poll on the structure of the Student Advice Service on Thursday of 6th Week.

Council Further Notes:

1.    That Council invited submissions, to be made by noon on Monday of 4th Week, to suggest possible new structures for the Student Advice Service.
2.    That seven submissions were received.

Council Believes:

1.    That canvassing the student body on this issue is important and necessary in ensuring the best provision of welfare services within OUSU and ensuring that the service meets the needs of Oxford students.
2.    That the indicative poll should include a wide range of options.

Council Resolves:

1.    That the following options should go forward to the indicative poll:

a.    Submission 1
b.    Submission 2
c.    Submission 3
d.    Submission 4
e.    Submission 5
f.    Submission 6
g.    Submission 7

2.    That the results of the indicative poll should be used to inform the decision of what option goes forward to a referendum in Hilary Term 2008.

Proposed: Martin McCluskey (OUSU President)
Seconded: Louise Randall (OUSU Vice President, Welfare)
