Every year, every student gets the chance to elect the new officers of the Student Union. Elections happen on Thursday of 6th Week of Michaelmas and you can vote in your college.

This year, elections will be held for Full and Part-Time Executive Officers, Council Delegates and NUS Delegates.

Full Time Officers are elected for one year and are paid. Part-Time Executive officers are current students. More details on the individual positions can be found below.

Council Delegates represent students’ views at OUSU Council and are seen as votes free from a Common Room mandate; representing the “generality of students”. NUS Delegates represent the views of Oxford students at NUS events, including national conference. This is an ideal way to get some experience of national student politics.
