OUSU today launches oxfordfreshers.org, the first official Freshers' website from the Student Union
Welcome to oxfordfreshers.org, a new website from the Oxford University Student Union. If you're reading this after getting your exam results and meeting your offer from Oxford, congratulations! Similarly, if you're starting graduate study in September, well done on getting a place at Oxford.
You're about to start one of the most exciting, and challenging, periods of your life and we hope that throughout, all of us at the Student Union can help you whether you want to find cheap nights out, access a whole host of services exclusive to OUSU members or give you help and advice when things don't go quite as planned. If you want to find out more about OUSU and who we are, you can find out here.
This website will expand over the next few weeks, and will also soon replace our main website at ousu.org; providing a portal for every Oxford Student and easy access to the most important OUSU news and events information.
From Wednesday 22nd August, you'll be able to purchase your matriculation cap and undergraduate gowns from our new online store. The cap and gown is compulsory dress for matriculation ceremonies and we've teamed up with the University of Oxford Shop to bring you caps and gowns for £30. From September 10th, you'll also be able to purchase College hoodies, T-Shirts and tops from our new clothing line Oxford Apparel, in conjunction with Shirtworks.
For new UK Undergraduate and Graduate students, you'll also be receiving your Freshers' Guide from OUSU within the next couple of weeks. The Freshers' Guide is rammed full of essential information about all aspects of life at Oxford. We'll also be putting much of it online over the next few weeks.
