More profiles needed! - Find out how

Did you find the information on this website useful? Have you just sat an interview at Oxford? Please click here to find out how to send in your own profile so this site can be expanded for future applicants.

We hope to expand this website into a useful resource for the thousands of future applicants to Oxford.  To achieve this, we need your help.  If you have ever sat an interview at Oxford, especially if you have sat an interview recently, please send a profile written using the following guidelines to access@ousu.org.  Thank you for your help!

Guidelines for the profile

Please send your profile and a photograph to access@ousu.org.

Your profile should include:

Student name; Year when interviewed; Subject studied.

Length: Up to 1000 words

Areas to cover:

•    Why did you apply to Oxford?

•    What preparation did you do for your application and before your interviews?

•    Please describe the format of the interviews you had, including some of the topics covered (but not specific questions) and how the interviews went.

•    Please describe any admissions tests you may have sat.

•    What activities and experiences did you enjoy when not being interviewed (e.g. JCR organised events, meeting other interviewees)?

•    Was there anything you did which you thought helped, or anything you think you should have done when preparing which would have been useful?

•    What was your overall impression of the interview process - what did they expect, how did it compare to what happened and what did they take away from the process?
