          Home

  • Lock your Bedroom Door – even if you’re only going to the kitchen or bathroom

  • Check doors and windows are locked at night or when going out – Don’t assume someone else will do it. 50% of thefts occur when a door or window is left open!

  • Make a list of your personal property including the serial number and descriptions- keep these somewhere safe.

  • Use all the locks that are provided on the front door of your accommodation

         Personal Safety / Theft

  • Think ahead- don’t walk home late at night. Pre-book a taxi or ring the Safety Bus (07714445050)

  • Never leave drinks unattended in pubs or clubs- always ask a friend to keep an eye on them

  • Don’t flash your cash, mobile phone, or laptops never leave them on a table in a coffee shop whilst you pop to the toilet. Never leave your bag on the back of a chair.

  • Try to be aware of people around you at a cash point and always shield your PIN

  • Watch out for people tail gating you into your accommodation - don't let anybody you don't know into your college

  • All ways walk close to street lights and near houses – Never take that short cut
