What does OUSU do for Student Parents?
Tea and Toys
Tea and Toys is a social meeting for all student parents and their families. It takes place in various locations and at various times throughout term. There's free tea, coffee, squash and biscuits and a chance to talk to other student parents in an informal, child-friendly setting. All very welcome, email childcare@ousu.org for more details.
Student Parents' Maillist
The student parent maillist exists as a forum for discussion amongst student parents at Oxford University. To join the maillist please contact childcare@ousu.org.

University Support and Childcare Provisions
Some help is available from the University for meeting the costs of childcare. Home students must apply through the Access to Learning Funds. EU and Overseas students can apply for emergency short-term assistance from the Childcare Relief Fund. For more information see www.admin.ox.ac.uk/eop/childcare/feesandfunding/ . University Childcare Provisions
St Anne’s, Wolfson, Balliol and Somerville have their own nurseries. See the college websites for further information. The University Nurseries cater for children from four months until school admission age. The University also has a playscheme (during holidays) which is suitable for 5-12 year-old children.

Oxford University Newcomers' Club
Welcomes the wives, husbands and partners of visiting scholars, of graduate students and of newly appointed academic members of the University. They offer help, advice and information and the opportunity to meet others socially. Informal coffee mornings are held in the Club. Newcomers with children (O-4) meet weekly.
